I needed a simple card to remember my sister's dog. He was the best dog I've ever met, and deserved a special card.
First cut the sun out of post it and place it on the card design (basic white). Figure out where the dog will sit in the grass and have the head in the sun. Place the post it there.
I started on the top 2/3 blending Petal Pink. Then leaving some pink around the sun, blend some mango. Around the mango, add some terracotta. Take off the post it and blend daffodil in the circle.
On the bottom third, blend some granny apple green for grass.
Now stamp the dog with the head in the sun. Take a piece of scrap paper and stamp another dog. Color and cut. Place over the stamped image on the card.
If your dog has long ears that hang down you might do the following:
Stamp another sun and blend with daffodil. Adhere over the first sun and dog head. Cut off the dog ears on the scrap piece leaving just the round head. Make a couple more stamps of the head on scrap paper. One of the ears looks good cut out and turned upside down. See card.. Color and adhere these ears to the scrap piece you've cut out and colored. Add the dog to the card covering the outline of the body. The head should be in the sun.
Add two types of grass from High Tide and Into the Trees. I used a darker green ink for the taller grass but cannot remember which ink. It might be Call me Clover. The lighter grass is Granny Apple Green. If you do not have the stamps, just draw it in.
Add dsp to design and add ribbon.
If you like this card, please add a comment. Thanks for looking.

Beautiful card. Excellent masking and ink blending. So sorry for the loss of your sister's dog. Our pets do become our family and it is so hard to say goodbye. Nice of you to make a card.
