OK, one more card for Featured Stamper, Shirl, that also goes with today's CAS challenge. I had this card open as a possibility and then, with today's CAS challenge, I decided to make one card for Shirl's gallery. Here is Shirl's beautiful card: FS735 Coffee or Tea? by shirlb19 at Splitcoaststampers I kept the coffee theme and the heart behind my coffee cup, also the red.
I wanted to stamp coffee rings but didn't think I'd like red ones! So my stacked rings stencil, I thought, hinted at that same thing. I die cut a heart from masking paper and used the negative to create my mask, then secured the stencil and ink blended Real Red ink over the heart area. I removed the stencil and lightly blended the heart area again to more clearly define the heart shape.
I die cut my coffee mug and decided to create a kitty mug because Shirl loves kitties. A little shading with Copics, a red heart for the kitty, and red ribbon finished my mug. I heat embossed the sentiment and popped the mug up to finish the card.
Congratulations, Shirl, and thanks for the challenges Nancy and Lee! Thanks for looking.

Super cute with a kitten added to the coffee theme. I especially like the heart and the pattern you created which gives the simple design a nice punch of interest.

Loved reading about how you created your heart image .... it is a very effective backdrop for that cute kitty mug. I like the ribbon you placed on the mug handle!
