Here is another card to honor Shirl, our Featured Stamper this week. Shirl, I loved this beauty in your gallery: ABC15L2 You Got to Have Friends by shirlb19 at Splitcoaststampers I kept your wonderful layout but changed the theme of my card to winter and Christmas.
No designer paper was harmed in the making of this card. I kept with Shirl's lovely stripes on the left side by stamping Sketched Stripes using Pacific Point on that panel. For the right panel, I used Balmy Blue ink and the wrinkle free distress technique to get that wonderful, stormy look. I then went over the panel with my Whimsy jumbo wheel with the same Balmy Blue ink for some soft tone on tone stormy texture. I die cut the Pacific Point border to put between the two panels. Shirl's gorgeous flower turned into three snowflakes, two cut from silver mirror paper and one from silver glitter. I punched the sentiment and then sponged the edges and popped it up, matted this panel on silver mirror, and added it to a Pacific Point base. I'm really happy with how it turned out.
Congratulations, Shirl! Enjoy your week! Thanks for looking!

A gorgeous rendition of Shirl's great card. I love your dreamy blues and the striped stamped panel. Your snowflakes float so beautifully on this great bg. I am thinking snowflakes might be my Christmas card theme this year so this lovely went straight to my favorites. Fabulous card.

Ooh, I am really glad to hear that you are happy with it, because I am too. What an eye catcher Christmas card. Love the overlapping snowflakes, wonderful striping and distress background and great sentiment too. The pop of Pacific Point looks amazing. I never tire of seeing Christmas cards. So happy to have inspired you to make this beauty.

I just love your handmade designer paper!! That is one of my most favorite things about card-making is stamping my own patterned paper .... so I loved reading about your techniques! Your beautiful snowflakes look wonderful with your blue color theme!
