Today's Featured Stamper is Shirl (shirlb19). I chose this card of Shirl's to CASE.
I kept her blue background and snowglobe theme, but changed the snowglobe to my new Taylored Expressions stamp / die combo, and used a snowy dp instead of creating a starry background like Shirl did. I stamped it in black and die cut it, and also die cut two others without stamping to stack up behind it. I glued acetate between the top two layers.
On the small centre piece that got cut out of the die, I stamped and heat embossed the cabin. Then sponged bright blue for the sky and very light blue for the snowy ground. I added glitter to the trees and roof and sprinkled a bit of extra glitter over the acetate.
I glued everything to a background of snowy dp and then mounted on a white cardbase.

This is a delightful interpretation of Shirls Snowglobe card! I love the way you embedded the Snowglobe in that charming blue speckled paper….and by the way, I happen to have some of that pp, got it a longggggg time ago when we had independent brick & mortar stamp/scrapbook stores.
Darling card and nice tribute to Shirls original.

Susan, this is so gorgeous. I know you love blue and that sparkly dp looks wonderful. Love the square shape. Your distress colors for the sky and snow are dreamy. I love that charming cabin scene so much. Love all the glittery touches! Thank you for honoring me with this lovely case and I do mean lovely! So sweet!

Susa, the blue on the background is so lovely as is the image in the slow globe. I love all the snow and what great ideas you had on layering. This is a gorgeous case! Hugz

Your snow scene is fabulous! Love the blending for the bg and your layering with the acetate makes it look like a glass globe. Beautiful design and layout. Topped off (or actually backed up) by that equally gorgeous dp. As I said, Fabulous!
