This card was made for a challenge that had the theme "fall garland". I got the clever idea for the card from Susan Simpson's blog at: https://craftyduckydoodah.blogspot.c...btd-92017.html I followed her design pretty closely, but used different foil cardstock, sentiment, and added pinecones since the challenge included their use.
I decided to use the "baby wipe" technique to color the leaves, rather than sponge them as Susan did. The technique is simply dropping different colors of ink from re-inker bottles randomly to a folded baby wipe, then using the baby wipe as your "stamp pad". I then used a brush and three different ink pads to color blend each leaf to fill in the background. Stampin' Up! (SU) Very Vanilla cardstock was used for the leaves.
Rather than repeat Susan's excellent photo tutorial, I refer you to her blog. What I really liked about it was the die cut leaves that allow you to see inside the card.
I made the card for my brother's November birthday. The leaves give it a "floral" look without having flowers on a guy card.
I am rating the difficulty level as a "2" out of a possible "5".
