Robin (Stamperrobin) is this week's Featured Stamper. Yay! If you look at this card by Robin you will probably wonder how her gorgous card inspired it.....
When I saw her card, I wanted to case it because I love, love,, love her colors and the whimical/magical feel it. So I started thinking of what images I had that would work....of course, my brain kept returning to the face I saw in my floor board this week (funny how things get stuck in your head). So I got some copy paper out and used some of Robbin's colors in an ISS instead of sponging them. After it was dry, I took a Stabiilio Pencil and did a rubbing of that floor board. Next, I activiated the Stabilio pencil with water - I love that technique - it always does the coolest things. I thought about adding some magical images like Robin's card, but the paper kept eating the white gel pen markings so I gve up.
I showed this to a few people and some saw the face and some didn't so I thought this TH Word Sticker would be appropriate.
So her colors and fantasy theme were incorporated in my card, but other than that......
Robin, you always inspire me. Your use of color, your masking and coloring skills, and your design skills are so amazing. I am so excited to see you as the FS and I hope you have fun seeing how you inspire others.

Wow oh wow Nancy this is absolutely fantabulous. Love it. I’m not entirely sure how you did it but I hope there’s a technique on it. Brilliant. TFS. Happy day and hugs.
(I forgot to say that I saw the face straight away..so cool to do a rubbing of it. I also googled those pencils and guess who has ordered some lol…the poppets will love them too. You are awesome).

Oh Wow Nancy. I love how our creativity works. I could see all those elements of Robin's card even before I read your description (which I appreciate all the steps you did to created this). Your floorboard reminds of all those art pieces where you see one thing when you initially look it and then something else when you look at it differently. At first I only saw the rings of the wood burl in your image; but when I looked again I saw that face. Fabulous card and that's the perfect sentiment.

Thank you so much my friend!! I do SOOO love your card and yes, I saw the face right away and I'm blown away at the fact that it wasn't a stamp (I saw African tribal type of face myself), you did a pencil rubbing? wow so Indiana Jones!!! I love the face but not sure I would want to see it in MY floor! LOL! Your card is so original and sooo beautiful...I cannot comprehend!! Way above my pay grade I'm afraid! Heehee!
Gorgeous!

Dear heavens, what cool inspiration- really love that you pulled this together, and yes- I see a face- ancient, maybe tribal in some way with face paint. A warrior. Next, you will have to name that area of floorboard and be careful not to step on it! LOL Love this creative take on Robins card!

I didn't see the face in the thumbnail, but once I took a closer look, it was obvious to me! Your technique is fascinating and the result is incredible - this should be in a museum!

I definitely see the face and the origin story of this card is amazing! I can't imagine taking a rubbing of a floor to make a card, but you did it and it works! SO cool!
