Loved the layout on Su Mohr's blog: (4/19/21). For Shirley's Goodbye Summer challenge to make summer cards before summer ends.
I used a large solid stamp from C.P. to stamp dox on bristol c.s. Then stamped the outline in green and diecut. Everything is glued down except used thin dimensionals to pop up the large poppy and sentiment. Painted the centers with green smooch that was a gift from Ann (Ocean County Stamper), but camera did not pick up the shine, and dotted a few areas with it as well, added 3 glitter dots. (Green printed panel: 5 by 3+3/4"/ white panel:3+1/2 by 4+3/4") Thanks for taking a peek!

This is a lovely end of summer card, Shirl! The poppies look fabulous - neat idea to color the paper with distress oxide ink to get just the color you wanted. And the smootch dots are the perfect finish! All I can say is you are one brave stamper to do smootch dots on a completed card front. It gives me palpitations whenever I whip out the black smootch to do eye on a critter. Can’t tell you how many times I have ended up with a blob where I intended a tiny dot! Gorgeous card, Shirl. Popping it into my Favs to remind me how you did smootch centers on the poppies. I have to give that a try! TFS!

This card jumped right out at me in the gallery .... love those beautiful poppies and the color combo. Wish the camera had picked up the green apple smooch .... bet it looks fabulous in person!
