Hello! It's time for a new Watercolor Wednesday Challenge. This week, I decided to use a stamp since the tutorial shows that she lightly traced from a photograph. I even used a little bit of ink and drew roof tiles on the house.
While I was painting the ground the tutorial ended and a new video from the same artist came on. In this video, she was doing a LOT of splatters. She kept mentioning how relaxing it was after a hard week so I thought why not do that for my hill! I covered the rest of the painting and left only the ground exposed and splattered away!
This was a really relaxing project. We hope you will join us!

Just watched a video on painting lighthouses the other day and here we are doing them. You did a wonderful job on this. Every element is really just perfect. I love the look of the sandy/ grassy hillside. I can see that there is just a little grass and lots of sand under it. Wonderful texture there.

Beautiful lighthouse, maybe I should have chosen a stamp instead of sketching...
I love the grass with the pretty splatters that makes it look like tiny flowers and stones on the ground

I am totally impressed that your splatters hit the hills and not the walls of the lighthouse here Angie, and the sky looks so pillow-y is that a word? very cool

Take me there, Angie! Gorgeous painting that makes me totally want to grab a blanket, sit in the grass, and take in the salty breeze from the ocean as I take in the view. Thank you so much for sharing!

Giggling because my first thought was, "Angie's drawing should be turned into a stamp!" And really since the artist basically outlined everything, I think that was a super smart move!!! (Wishing I had that option) Great sky - it looks to be the harbinger of bad weather ahead.
