This week we are doing an ink and wash watercolor. This would be the video-
Sketched the scene and went over with a black marker. Painted the scene with watercolors. I should have left more space unpainted. When it was dry I did a little of the sketching with the nib and ink. You really have to be very careful not to put a large amount of ink or you will get a blob that you don't want. I really kept it light with a soft touch. Come join us, and try this technique. A stamp could be used for the image also. TFL

Gorgeous plus plus Linda ... I love that you added something on the Island. I wanted to do that then forgot - lol. I also wanted to add white to the water and forgot that too!!

What a beautiful painting! I love that you inked your painting. I am sure I would ruin it. I would need tons of practice because I always seem to be ruining my projects. Your rocks look fabulous and I really like the lines you added to your lighthouse! Beautiful!

Great job on capturing Kewaunee light. I can't wait to play with this tomorrow. I love your rocks! Lots of texture in them and the little trees on the opposite shore are wonderful to go along with your great lighthouse.

Linda........love this scene. Beautifully painted. I (and my family) spent twenty years ( summer weekends) on Cape Cod, Massachusetts and this is the type of scenery you see there. Never get tired of looking at that.

Lovely weathered look on those out buildings - exactly what I'd expect from wood that had spent years getting buffeted by wet winds. Your boulders gave me a deja vu moment as I feel you have used this area years ago as inspiration for coloring the entrance to a watery cove - weird, huh?!
