Looney Llama has some friends visiting from another country and he is giving them a tour of his beloved Arizona desert. They plan to stop by Tom's place later to bring him some Teapotter cheer and a bit of small talk.
I started this card by die cutting the stitched panel which I masked and then ink blended the sun and sky. I used a circle die to cut a mask for the sun. Die cut various slopes of differing colors for the AZ landscape. Colored, die cut and assembled the characters. Many moons ago I saw this fabulously fun card by Sandy Allnock -- oh to be able to draw like Sandy -- and it was her card that gave me the idea to have this jeep cantering through the desert. Isn't this card great:
I hope Tom doesn't mind a bunch of critters dropping by; but I wanted him to have a lot of friends show up to show him we are all out there pulling for him and praying for his recovery. I hope this ragtag group of friends makes him smile and think about some of his fun times with friends. I hope you are enjoying your day and that you, too, can enjoy the company of good friends--even if it's just online. TFL.

Oh my goodness, this is SO fun! I love your landscape, including the cactus plants growing along the roadside. The group of travelers couldn't be cuter! Bright, fun and sure to cheer the recipient!

Oh my gosh, Debbie, Tom is going to get such a kick out of his visit from these fun critters. I sure do hope that llama has insurance and I hope that armadillo rolls far enough out of the way before he gets run over. Awesome scene!

That collection of animals visiting Tom is fantastic. My favourite has to be the armadillo, then the ostrich. The rolling hills in the background are just wonderful. What a fun and happy-making card.
