For this weekâs CC challenge, Chris selected bumble bee, soft succulent and poppy parade, with a dessert option of dry embossing. This is a lovely color combination and made me think about succulents so I played with my cactus stamps and then decided to use this previous SC design SCS837 by SCSketches at Splitcoaststampers for SC866 â pick a previous sketch. Of course, I mashed it up a bit but I liked the three panels. I didnât have the exact colors so worked with the best color match I could come up with. I stamped the cactus pots with soft suede and then colored them in with alcohol markers. Added some red using stamps from other cactus sets. Matted panels with soft suede. Embossed the BG panel with paper studio brick EF. I inked the folder with a bit of soft suede before embossing and then splattered with some red tone markers. Added some twine and a stripe of washi tape. TFL

Wow-the EF and color of paper you selected makes this look just like adobe brick-perfect backdrop for those lovely succulents. Thanks for playing in my sketch challenge.

The elements you've put together on this card go perfectly together--the adobe-type brick, the washi tape, the twine and the cacti! Love this pretty southwest card!

Nicely done Claudette. You certainly put a lot of thought and effort into your card. Your cacti are so cute and your card has lots of texture and dimension. It's so amazing the different ways that those three CC colors can be created into so many pretty cards.
Thank you also for leaving that nice comment on my card.
