Chris has selected some awesome colors for this week's Color Challenge, CC858. The colors she has selected are Poppy Parade, Soft Succulent, and Bumble Bee with the dessert option of using dry embossing.
This design is a simple one. I've used an (optional) Neutral color, Crumb Cake for the card base. The flower was stamped in Bumble Bee and Poppy Parade with the leaves in Soft Succulent. This unusual layout seemed to evolve as I went along, however, I think I ended up liking it because of all the different shapes used. My dessert option was fulfilled by using the Tasteful Textile embossing folder for the back panel. The design appeared a little heavy on the bottom so I added a few Guilded Gems to the top to balance it out a little.
It's my hopes you received a little inspiration here and want to give Chris' colors a try yourself! We, the design team would be thrilled to have you share your design with us. Thank you for taking a look!

LOVE THIS!!! I love everything about this. I think this is one of the under-appreciated sets in the annual catalog. You’ve used the colors wonderfully and the layout is great.

I love the peek-a-boo window in this pretty card, LeAnn! Love the coloring of the flower and the color blocking with the circles. The gems do, indeed, give perfect balance to the layout. Love it!

Oh, LeAnn! There is so much to love here. I couldn't wait to get that set and as of yet haven't been able to come up with a winner like this. Beautiful blending of colors and your greeting treatment is an idea I'm going to have to borrow sometime. I also love the fresh look of that craft with these colors!

Hi LeAnn.....I LOVE how your layout evolved!!!!!!!! I'm going to print off your card so I can remember to incorporate that cut out style on one of my cards some day. Every step you have made to your card coordinates so nicely with the others. Love how that image turned out with the CC colors. Really like that crumb cake card stock on your card too.
Before I forget........thanks for leaving that nice comment on my card.

I love your design and they way you used this week's colors. The hombre inking on the flower with the three circles is so effective. Beautiful design and layout. Awesome card.

This is a winning card design in my book!! Love the look of the textured background behind that pretty flower and the circles of color are a great idea!
