So, I pulled out my African cat stamps and the closet things I had were the lions and the cheetah. My original thought was to stamp white pigment ink on black then add shading with white and gray pencils. I stamped the lions first and realized I didn't have the skill to add all the tiny detailed shading that stamp would require so I just threw white embossing powder on it instead. Simple black and white matting.
You know how when you stamp with white it starts to fade almost right away. I really liked that almost gray/off-white look when I stamped the Cheetah, so I thought I would use pearl white hoping to capture that. Instead it turned rather silver/gray. I didn't want shiny layers on this card, so I matted with a medium gray cardstock rather than silver cs. I also embossed the black panel for some extra texture/interest. Both images have a layer popped up on foam tape.
Didn't quite get the look I going for, but I think both these stamps are wonderful and really stand on their own. These will be handy for notes, masculine birthday or a thank-you. And Thank You for stopping by. Hope you have a wonderful day.

The detail in the stamps really shows with white ep.......isn't it the most fantastic stuff? Like magic it appears!! Your cards are so elegant. Anyone who loves the big cats will be thrilled to get them!!!

Wow, Debbie, these are both really cool! The lion within the lion image is so neat! Black and white is always a winner! The silver looking cheetah is really nice, too!

Debbie, I think you created magnificent cards with these stamps and EPs. Really are very dramatic....and elegant as well. You were also very careful....no stray specks of EP on your black bgs......quite a feat in my book! : )

OMGoodness, these are just gorgeous!! I love the look on both of them, I DID think you used silver metallic embossing powder until I read your details. But both are really fabulous!
