For Melissa's Dare to Get Dirty challenge. Today is the last day for the DTGD challenges - wish I'd had more time to do more of the challenges!
I found a scrap of smooshed Distress ink background in my box of odds and ends. And then I found a die cut mistletoe branch. It was on watercolour paper so I smooshed it into green Distress inks, repeating it until it was darker than the background piece. I die cut an oval out of the background and mounted it on a dry embossed panel. I added the mistletoe to the oval by gluing the top of the stem and using pieces of foam tape to give dimension to the leaves. I finished with a heat embossed sentiment tag and white stick-on pearls for the berries on the mistletoe.

Lovely Christmas card with the die cut mistletoe with the pearl berries, Susan. The smooshed technique on watercolor paper gave pretty shadings to the bg and the leaves.
