This was done for the Mix challenge for today and also fits with a DTGD challenge I had not gotten around to until now.
Mix challenge was to use cotton on your project. I found a few stray Qtips in my craft room and used Distress Spray stain on them and while I was at it also on the mummy cloth. I made the background with the smoosh and dry layering technique with several distress oxides. I added a grass stencil with more oxides along the bottom. I then pulled the cotton off the tips and glued down in chunks to give the lawn more texture or weeds if you looked at mine! Ha!
I stamped and cut out the dog and watercolored him with distress inks then popped up with foam. I used a Unity stamp for the Welcome word and die cuts for Back in scrap green CS. I added the mummy cloth as a ribbon effect on top.
I made this for my son and DIL (and their dog) who are stuck having to move back in with us for 2 weeks while awaiting their next abode. Iâm wrapping this up with a package of Oreos because well⦠they make everything better! Thanks for looking!
