This week's Watercolor Wednesday video was a fun one, using distress inks to create the background, then using misting and loose watercoloring with inks to finish the card. I had a hard time finding a good image to use -- the artist in the video used a large stamp that filled a lot of space, and I really didn't have anything like that. I decided to use the IO tomato image because it had some good areas to watercolor. I was a little leery of adding the script to the background, but it made a huge difference, and I'm totally sold on it now. And, because tomatoes on the vine are one of the Top5 best things about summer, this is also for today's Free For All, goodbye to summer.

You captured the true essence of the technique on this card. Terrific, and the script really adds a nice final touch. Thanks for joining the challenge.
This is beautiful! I love that you combined challenges on this! I agree, a homegrown tomato is definitely one of the best things about summer! I love the colors you used! The image is so pretty and I really like the background with the script and watercolor splatter!

What a great image for this time of year and it worked great for this challenge. I also picked a simple smaller image. I love homegrown tomatos and they are wonderful right now. Well done!
