This card was easier than a 1. I already had the background, but even if I hadn't, it still would have been under 10 minutes. The background is DOx ink smooshing, actually just sopping up leftover ink.
My Grandpa Meyer was the ultimate bookworm and what I remember most about his most prized, leather bound first editions is the gilt edge to all the pages. So I painted the page edges with gold wc paint.
This is also for Liz's DTGD21....check it out!

I love this fabulous background, and love that sentiment. Thanks so much for creating this for my challenge. Jean.

Perfect sentiment with that beautiful stack of gilded books -- and a sentiment that I, too, can relate too. Beautiful smooshed bg too. Gorgeous colors + gold wc = Fabulous card.

Great sentiment. I too love the gilding on the edges of old books - and those wonderful old leather bindings. I also remember as a child being fascinated by the books which didn't even have cut edges to the pages, but where they had been slit open with a paper knife.

I love this image of old books and your gilded edges are perfect! And what a fabulous sentiment. I have a hard time deciding whether to read or make cards on many days!
