Anita is our hostess for the teapotters this week and we are sending cards to Erling, the dh of Dorothy/SCS etsdas who passed away 2 weeks ago. Anita chose the theme of Dorothy's favourites, which were reading, travelling, cross stitching. One of these books must be about cross stitching perhaps? The ef. is embossed books and I used two blue DOX's to sponge it. There were book dies and other stamps in the magazine: flowers, world globe, a picture frame which has an outdoor scene in it. I stamped, colored and fussy cut those and sponged the book dies with oxides. Everything is just glued down. I heat embossed the eiffel and the sentiment. Card is a top fold.

Shirl, what a perfect card for the challenge! I love all the elements you added to your book shelf .... they all seem to apply to Dorothy's various interests!! I'm sure Erling will be touched to receive cards from all of Dorothy's crafting friends.

Great use of that embossing folder. I love all the little things you added to the shelves, including the Eiffel Tower. The extra die-cut books look great.

oh my gosh did you ever hit the nail directly on the head !! This card is absolutely perfection for Dorothy/Erling. You added everything that touched her heart: the Eiffel tower, books being a teacher, the world globe, the scenic picture in a frame.. and the coloring is detailed to excellence! It's simple, yet quite exquisite..

This is so cool! Love all the items on the bookshelves, and esp the books (probably a few written in French), Eiffel Tower bookend, and that globe. The flowers are also a nice touch, and I’m guessing the photo is of one of her favorite places they visited in their travels. Great work!!
