So, a while back ( in April) there was a watercolor Wed challenge that you were to make a beach scene. free hand, gulp. Yep I played along and this was the second attempt. ( the original photo with all the details is here in the gallery ) And after it was over both panels went into a basket/bin on the table of colored images. 4 months later I know a little more now than I did then, ( and I own smaller brushes lol) So, tonight after work I fished this image out of the bin because, I had read about Pat's DTGD challenge. earlier and I thought this was worth a second chance So I added a little more aqua/turquoise type blues to the water along with a little white gouache to both the water and the sky. I then cut some mats from some Neenah millstone because, when the tape came off this image when the paint was dry the first time. It was a totally crooked image, but I decided to leave it alone rather then cut it down to smaller than the image. Thanks for this challenge Pat & tfl.

Beautiful and peaceful beach scene, Stacy! Love how you captured the colors of the water: darker at the horizon, lighter close to land - with the white highlights near the edge! Love how you did the clouds and grass, too! And if you didn't mention that it was crooked, I would never have noticed it, LOL!
