Karen is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has given us some beautiful colors, perfect for a floral theme; Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green and Flirty Flamingo. The dessert option this week is "anything goes." For my dessert, I chose "embossing folder."
I stamped my window on watercolor paper, then colored with brush markers, using colors close to the challenge colors. I added a couple of shades of gray as neutrals. For the slight glow in the windows, I scribbled the Mango Melody marker onto my glass mat, then added a good deal of water until it was a very, very pale shade. When my window was dry, I fussy cut it out.
I brayered some white craft ink on the raised side of the embossing folder, then ran it through my machine with a piece of Mango Melody paper to give my house a brick wall. I decided to make this a get well card, and added a little banner greeting below the window.
Thanks for stopping by, and please play along with us this week.

Barbara, I love how the mortar turned out using the white ink, you've provided me with some inspiration here! Love it! The whole design is cheerful and will bring a smile to its recipient who's feeling under the weather. TFS

What a sweet get well card, Barbara! You've really mastered the white craft on the embossing folder and it is such a creative and effective way to do the bricks - in Mango no less!

Wonderful card Barbara! I love the embossed background with the white; what a great idea to use the white. This scene is precious and I love your attention to detail. It will certainly brighten anyone’s day when they aren’t feeling well.
