Todays Clean & Simple Challenge (CAS650 - Summer Gingham - 8/9/2021), was to create a summer card with gingham.
Red geraniums and red gingham were the first pairing I thought of for a summer gingham card. I found this sweet little potted geranium in a vintage SU set I have called Little by Little. It is so ancient that there isnât even a gallery for it here at SCS!
This card was quick to make once the image was stamped on watercolor paper and colored with my Derwent watercolor pencils. I matched the colors to the red in the gingham paper that was from last holiday season, SU Toile Tidings DSP.
The frond of greenery was colored to match using TIm Holtz distress inks watercolored onto paper (did this before diecutting).
To finish, I sponged the edges of circle and the card front with Memories Soft Wheat ink and added a tiny knot of red threads to the pot of flowers.
Thanks so much for stopping by to look at my Country Gingham Geranium.
Happy end of summer to you!
