I'd made a hexagon shaped luminary using this Crafters Companion image and realised that the shape was all wrong so began again, using some Sizzix nesting shapes for the overall shape and then taking it from there myself.
I die cut the Joanna Sheen holly around the edge to let more of the light shine through and lined it with vellum.
I stamped the image on vellum and coloured it from behind. It was too faint when the light was on so I die cut the matching shape and stuck it behind. I also blended yellow ink onto the vellum.
I'd tried a couple of ways to allow the tealight to sit inside the luminary but ended up making the sides of the luminary wider so I could cut a hole in the bottom where the light would fit in. The luminary sits flat on the table so the whole tealight is inside but the hole is wide enough that it can't get stuck inside.
