The Friday Free For All Challenge, F4A598- 8/6/21 - Outside, was to make a project reflecting your vision of outside.
This card is the result of whacking apart an encouragement card that I made 3 years ago. it was lingering in my ready-to-send card box - every time I thought to use it, I put I back because something about it bugged me! Have you ever had that happen?
Anyway, todays Outside Challenge inspired me to take this uninspiring card and switch it up a bit. The existing card front featured the decorated Kraft tan panel, just as you see it. The tan woodgrain texture filled the entire card front and to my eye, it overpowered the images. So I trimmed it to fit a larger speckled white card base, added a scrap piece of Granny Apple Green cs to carry the eye across the panel diagonally, and glued it in place.
Thanks for stopping by and looking at this card for the Outside Challenge. It was fun to try my hand at rehab on an existing unloved card from stash.
May you keep a green tree in your heart!

I have several cards that don't meet the send me out criteria, lol...Not sure what to do with them yet. Love the tiny trees and sweet wooden bird and heart, Susy!
Oh! I love that our challenge inspired you to remake your card so that you can now send it off. It's really gorgeous! I love the woodgrain paper and the bird is sooo sweet! it's fun that you have wooden hearts too! A fabulous outside card!
