This is my very first Teapot Challenge submission! I was so happy to see that the challenge is related to back to school.
I'm an elementary school teacher and I am enjoying my last few days of summer break before heading back to the classroom next week. The last time I taught from my classroom was March 13, 2020. I am so looking forward to a much better year!
It's always nice to thank teachers AND students for all of their hard work. The cards that I've made today will go to my grade level team. I'm fortunate to work with them. They're amazing.
This year, the theme of my classroom decor is "Rainbows." I made a bunch of die cut banners and other handmade decor items out of cardstock. Instead of tossing the paper scraps (gasp!) I cut them up into strip and made these cards. Yes, it was a lot of work, but fun! There's still a ton of leftover scraps, but I will donate them to our Art teacher.
Thanks for taking a look. Enjoy!

Your rainbow striped backgrounds are fantastic, so bright and cheerful. I hope you have a much more (though probably not totally) normal year this year.
The copy paper for backing, was that for the strips? If you can get large adhesive labels, they are brilliant for that sort of job. You can stick your strips on the sticky side, and then use your adhesive of choice to stick what is normally the front of the label to your card.
Oh, these are wonderful! The rainbow theme on the cards is so fun and I know your students are going to love the classroom! I hope you enjoy this last week of summer before heading back to the classroom. I hope that your year is wonderful and safe! Thank you so much for teaching!

These cards are so pretty and cheerful! Perfect for this exciting time of year for students and teachers. I taught elementary school for 40 years and for many years I used rainbows as my theme. Thank you for teaching and for encouraging your team as well.
