I found my inspiration card right away in Jan's wonderful gallery! Her Christmas Window card is so elegant! I used a colorburst BG, in place of the embossed bricks and substituted the lantern in place of the stained glass window. The lantern was cut from black, and I used the same die to make the opening in the BG. The mixed media paper, behind the lantern, was made with distress oxide ink, wild honey, wilted violet, blueprint sketch and black soot, then I splattered on a bit of black and some silver metallic watercolor. The sentiment was cut with Spellbinders Labels 4 die, inked with true black and I blended on some distress oxide inks. Here's Jan's beautiful card.

I see the wonderful symbolism of the light of the world coming into the world in this beautiful holiday card.

I love the BG, the colour is gorgeous, all the colours you’ve used round the lantern really make it look as if it’s glowing, thank you for choosing my Christmas window card.

What a beauty. Those colors in the bg are gorgeous and make a beautiful night sky to host that wonderful lantern. Your ink blending on that piece really does make it look as if the lantern is glowing. Just beautiful.
