This is for today's MIX-old and new; yesterday's WT-a postcard; Monday's TLC-erupting paint.
As I was walking toward my desk about a half an hour ago, hoping to get some inspiration for these challenges, I saw in one of my stash containers this Crafty Individuals image, stamped long ago. Why I stamped it, no idea. Why I saved it, well, it's what I do. I used Frantage on the bottom corner daisies, I know Frantage isn't new but it's new to me. I don't think it melts very well, am I doing something wrong?? I also used a little bit on the edges, didn't stick to the Versamark very well. Another old thing I used is some old children's writing paper from my grandpa's stash (now my stash), cut with an oval die.
The green background is from this past Monday's TLC-erupting paint. I've never done it before so that's new. I also embossed it with a 'new to me' 3D folder. Finally, I added a 'newish' Earth Day postage stamp.
Thanks to the challenge hosts and especially to Sabrina, who helped me realize how I could combine old and new with her creation.

Love the folder. LOL because your green erupted background is so similar to mine that I did at the end just to use up all the inks. The little blue script panel looks lovely on it.
The Frantage, my understanding is that some of it doesn't melt at all if it's the encrusted jewel sets, so you need to have enough of the actual embossing powder parts to hold the other stuff. But if it's just the embossing enamels on their own, I've never had any trouble with them melting. I heat from underneath, with no Versamark, sprinkled. I don't think I've ever tried edging a piece with it.
p.s - the oval shape of your vintage scene, with the shape, makes me think of a little palette sitting on the page.

That background piece is incredible; love the colours, love the texture! Your combination of old and new works really well here. A very inviting 'postcard'!

Fabulous background and I love your blue "scripty" piece. Love frantage and I don't pull it out often enough to play with. Probably not great for sentiments but never tried it that way. What Sabrina said about it-ditto!
Sweet vintage oval too!

Beautiful! I love the combination of old and new, side by side. Sabrina is right about the Frantage Embossing Enamels. The broader Frantage product line includes mica flakes, glitter and Fragments that can be sprinkled on top of or mixed into any Embossing enamel and heated from beneath the cardstock.

Jean I agree with Liz. You are really the master at the technique and mix challenges. I love the green 3D BG and also the blue postcard script. I’m not sure what frantage is but your edge looks beautiful to me. The notepaper is so lovely. Thank you for playing in my challenge. Happy day and holiday
