I'm hosting the next Mix-Ability challenge and we are pairing things Side by Side! Talking fancy it's all about juxtaposing something about your card.
This card uses pattern paper that looks a lot like old wallpaper and it's side by side with trendy stenciling and color blending. To add more mixed media effects I dabbed white paint dots all over the place and blended ink over them in certain spots. A cheerful sentiment in trendy lettering and a swatch of old lace to juxtapose old and new!

Jan, this was a fun challenge to try. I have lots of old papers that I need to use up and you have inspired me to find new ways to use them to "upgrade" their look!!

Love your card and technique. I have a lot of paper that has been in my stash forever that would have a wonderful new look using your technique. I wish I had time to play.

You did a great job of juxtaposing. It refreshing to look at a cool, fall card, when we are dealing with such a hot summer. I love transforming my ugly paper into a one of a kind, unexpected beauty.
