This was a quick and easy card to make. After baby wiping paints across my CS, I stamped the beach image. Stamped the sentiment and embossed it in gold EP. It didn't stand out so well so I went around the words using an orange/gold journalling pen. Added stickles in places and the Aussie postage stamp and done.

TFL. Happy day

Jayne I love the sentiment! Of course, after a day at the beach, there is sand everywhere! The sun/beach scene just shimmers with warmth and is a reminder of the days spent at the beach in my youth. We went one or two days each summer, frolicing in the water, running through the sand dunes, and enjoying picnics with mom's fabulous potato salad and salmon sandwiches (the only time we ever had salmon sandwiches). Thanks for a trip down memory lane!

I grew up on Lake Ontario and while there was no salt there was certainly sand. I remember being hosed down in the yard after coming home to get all the sand out. Your background is perfect for the seaside theme! Lovely card!

That is just so inviting looking, Jayne. I'd prefer the sand between my toes, though . Super work with your baby-wipe background, it gives a great brushstroke look. I like the stamp.
I've had the same problem with sentiments embossed in gold...I think especially for my Tickle card for Jean's challenge earlier this year and I had to try several things to rescue it and make it legible.

Yes - please take me to your beach side scene. Love that stamp - he he - have just received it in the mail but haven’t inked it up yet. At the moment we can’t leave the ACT - so trips to the beach are out now. Cold, windy and drizzling here today - not nice at all. Hope to get in some crafting this afternoon.

Gorgeous Jayne, reminds me of going over the sand dunes with all our gear for a day on the beach, beautiful colours and it seems as if its all shimmering in the heat.

Cool techniques and fun saying. Sand is a bit intrusive. Allie came back from the beach and dumped her laundry in my laundry room (her dryer is broken). I didn't realize she hadn't shaken out the towels really well. We have sand everywhere! I have swept several times but it lingers.... Anyway, your card reminds me of that - lol. Fun. Hugz
