Sonja is our hostess for Tickle a Teapotter this week. Find it here: MMTPT679 - July 27, 2021 - Destination ? by Cook22 at Splitcoaststampers
She's inviting us to imagine a fantasy holiday trip wherever we wish, with an SCS friend.
I hope mine likes walking - I have a list of things to do on the back on the inserts, and there is plenty of walking - it's the best way to see Paris. DH isn't great on walking because he has foot problems, but he can manage a good seven miles throughout a day without complaining too much because it's worth it.
I used the fold Sonja offered us, so extra cookies for me. Macarons, please, preferably in the cafe of Le Bon Marche.
I used suitcases on the front in memory of the time our purchases exceeded our capacity and on our last morning, we had to go to the nearby luggage shop and buy an extra suitcase . I remember packing it on the shop floor. I had bought a coat, we had a large book, the inevitable chocolate and who knows what else was causing us to overflow....
I used card from Crelando to create my folio, and added a string closure with a punched circle, an eyelet and some twine. On top of my suitcases (TH Luggage BIGZ) I added an Eiffel Tower cut from metallic card, and Paris. On the back I stamped the Paris TH Cityscape.
For the inserts, the Paris panel is a freebie from a magazine. I used SU French Script (stamped in milled lilac) on one insert, and the other two stamps are from a set by Togo that I bought in - Paris.
Stamps on the other insert are from the same set, the sitckers are Penny Black.
A real dream trip would be Norway, but I don't have the stamps to realise that even on paper. And I don't think I'll ever tire of Paris.

How delightful. The pink stripes remind of awnings and sweet macarons!

Beautiful and perfect inside too. I agree that walking is the only way to see Paris and boy do we walk when we travel. We found so many hidden gems in Paris last time we were there and some we wish we hadn't found LOL. Your journal is making me yearn to travel and even though I did comment and say I probably wouldn't go back to Paris, this is making me wish I'd never said that LOL. *sigh*. TFS. Happy day

I'm glad my last visit to Paris I was able to walk lots more than today, I would love going back to Paris but there are still so many places I would like to discover in France and Europe, waiting for better knees to be able to go, but now about your card, love the striped paper and love the inserts, so pretty!!

I'd have to walk very slowly....sigh. but maybe then I could savor it more. Trying to put a positive spin on my darn Achilles. Sigh...your sweet, quaint, perfect folder is making me wish for lots of travel. I love the commercial I'm seeing on TV for Viking River Cruises.....'this past year has seemed like a long, cold Norwegian winter.' Oh and I so agree with the striped awning comment above. I was trying to come up with that myself. Perfection!

This is such a wonderful array of Paris memorabilia. You've curated a fab collection. I love walking, I'd be happy to join you in Paris, or anywhere in France. (I watch the Tour de France on TV with the sound turned off just to look at the scenery when it's not obscured by sweaty guys on bikes)

Love the inside, the outside and all the "stuff". I've never been to Paris but I'm happy to join you. My sister hopes to retire in a couple of years and move to France. I'll need to start saving for a visit.

Ohhh, the inside is even sweeter! Love your stamped Parisian landscapes along the bottom and the Parisian girl, oh and that die cut Eiffel Tower is gorgeous! I’ll gladly come along, although I may want to rent a motor scooter for the last few miles of the sightseeing tour (which might even add another element of fun!!).
