Sonja is our hostess for Tickle a Teapotter this week. Find it here: MMTPT679 - July 27, 2021 - Destination ? by Cook22 at Splitcoaststampers
She's inviting us to imagine a fantasy holiday trip wherever we wish, with an SCS friend.
I hope mine likes walking - I have a list of things to do on the back on the inserts, and there is plenty of walking - it's the best way to see Paris. DH isn't great on walking because he has foot problems, but he can manage a good seven miles throughout a day without complaining too much because it's worth it.
I used the fold Sonja offered us, so extra cookies for me. Macarons, please, preferably in the cafe of Le Bon Marche.
I used suitcases on the front in memory of the time our purchases exceeded our capacity and on our last morning, we had to go to the nearby luggage shop and buy an extra suitcase . I remember packing it on the shop floor. I had bought a coat, we had a large book, the inevitable chocolate and who knows what else was causing us to overflow....
I used card from Crelando to create my folio, and added a string closure with a punched circle, an eyelet and some twine. On top of my suitcases (TH Luggage BIGZ) I added an Eiffel Tower cut from metallic card, and Paris. On the back I stamped the Paris TH Cityscape.
For the inserts, the Paris panel is a freebie from a magazine. I used SU French Script (stamped in milled lilac) on one insert, and the other two stamps are from a set by Togo that I bought in - Paris.
Stamps on the other insert are from the same set, the sitckers are Penny Black.
A real dream trip would be Norway, but I don't have the stamps to realise that even on paper. And I don't think I'll ever tire of Paris.

The textured paper on the luggage reminded me of old time baggage made of sturdy canvas with leather fittings. I'd love to have you show me the sites of Paris. I was there once but unfortunately ate something that didn't agree with me so spend a lonely day in bed at the hostel. Thanks for all your support in making this challenge a dream come true.

Awesome travel journal/book Sabrina. You nailed the suitcases and your comment on purchasing an extra suitcase reminded me of 2 trips...one to Canada and one to Scotland where we had to buy an additional suitcase each time. One was due to a suitcase breaking in transit. Oh...Paris...we love Paris but I'm not sure I would go again...maybe. I was so disappointed with how parts of it had become so tainted and full of litter, including near the Eiffel Tower. So sad. Whoever receives this journal is going to be happy. TFS. Happy day

Those suitcases are adorable...I would have to bring my boring old black one that everyone else seems to have. The striped paper just says Paris. Great job on selling us your dream Teapotter vacation....I'm ready!

What a fantastic card and vacation idea! Love the suitcases and all the fun items that are tucked inside. There will be one happy Teapotter when he/she receives this card!

I seem to remember MANY years ago that you mentioned on one of my cards that your Grandmere was French so Paris is a marvelous destination vacation for you plan for us teapotters. The luggage is so fun. We always used to pack one or 2 canvas bags (folds flat) for all the excess stuff we ended up with when traveling to Europe.

Love the outside too. More pink stripes. Oh yes I know all about the extra suitcases. Had to buy one last visit to Canada and they had the hide to put “heavy” labels on my two cases - ha ha.
