I realized something this morning. We spend a lot of time talking about how to make "masculine" cards. And do you know why we don't know how to make masculine cards? It's because most guys don't really care what their cards look like. Tomorrow is my nephew's college graduation party and a family friend asked if I could make a card for him. I was concerned that I was making this card too fabulously glittery and sparkly, until I realized that DJ won't care that much about what the card looks like. He's more concerned about what's in it. Let's be honest. I made this card for me. And it was fun. So, relax, and have fun with your "masculine" cards.
DJ graduated from UMass Dartmouth. Their colors are navy and gold, which matched the leftover colors that I soaked up on Watercolor Wednesday. I used that piece to cut "2021" with my ScanNCut. As usual, I forgot I needed the inside of the 0 and tossed it. No idea where it is, so I cut out a graduation cap to center the 0. I grabbed a piece of navy blue cardstock and mixed some black reinker into my blue Paper Glaze and applied it through my Hero Arts star stencil. Then I realized I had star shaped glitter for inside the shaker. I also added some gold sequins. I also realized that I bought a "2021" stamp on clearance last month, so I used part of that stamp to get my money's worth. The 2021 that I cut out with my ScanNCut was too awesome to throw away, so I used it to decorate the envelope. Look at me, decorating an envelope. Who am I?

I think this is a perfect masculine card. Bold and to the point just like men tend to be!!

Your nephew is going to love this card AND what's in it! It's absolutely fabulous. I got a kick out of how you covered up for the missing center of the zero. And decorating the envelope - that's something I haven't done yet.
