I was creating a CAS card with a bee for The Paper Players, PP550 using elements for this month's MISTI challenge with a number and/or alphabets. I went searching through the Clean and Simple forum here and found a challenge with bees. So fun when I find more challenges that what I was intending.
The greeting hapbee birthday came from More Courteous Cuties from Paper Smooches and the bee from Courteous Cuties. I placed the bee near the top and decided to cut the greeting apart, removing the word "bee" and using the insect bee. I had an idea to use the number 2 placing it on a hexagon shape. I stamped the set minihexagons4backgrounds, from The Stamps of Life, and embossed with white embossing powder, then placed the number 2 on it. The number 2 came from graduation2celebrate and matching dies from The Stamps of Life. The word You was created with an alphabet set from Hero Arts.
Next I added stitching to the border with the Stitched Rectangle dies from The Stamps of Life. I thought it needed something else, so I used the Cuttlebug Hexagon EF to add texture.
The MISTI was used for each element of this card. The number die is one die cutting all of the numbers and I only needed the number 2. I used a small piece of paper and cut number 1, 2, and 3 and then placed all of the pieces in my MISTI to stamp the number on the die cut piece. I also stamped the alphabet with the MISTI needing to ink it again to get a good impression.
