I created the herringbone background for this card based on a tutorial by Sam Calcott at Mixed Up Craft. I cut 4 pieces of patterned paper into strips of various widths. I covered a panel of 4x5-1/4" white cardstock with a double-sided adhesive sheet. I removed the release paper & added my strips, leaving a gap in between each. After I'd adhered all the strips, I used my Teflon bone folder to press foil into the adhesive in the gaps. I think if I were to do this again, I would make the gaps a bit wider, since it was hard to get the foil to stick in the gaps.
I cut a strip of dark teal cardstock & added it towards the top of my panel. I stamped the greeting onto a strip of green cardstock, & adhered it below the teal. I felt the teal was a bit stark, so I used a white gel pen to add faux stitching lines to the top & bottom edges. Finally, I matted the panel with yellow cardstock that I'd adhered to a white card base.
