The key for me was to have my brush really wet. Plus I had to go slow on mine to give the color and water time to interact with each other. I think this turned out beautifully as a natural background. This is a hard media for me. Practice is helping me.

You have achieved dancing in the top water along with depth, creating this sweet scene. I found too that the key was very wet paper with a brush that holds a lot of water and pigment.

I am definitely seeing some dancing in the upper edges of your blues and some very subtle movement in the center of your green meadow. As others have mentioned, a really wet paper is the key (that's why I was so thrilled that we had some humidity here in the desert yesterday - Usually my paper dries before I can even dab in color) The other keyword is patience as sometime it does take a bit for the color to find it's way through the water. Keep experimenting and have fun with it!
