According to Sabrina/Cook22, we will be celebrating Aunt Betty's 94th birthday by the end of July, so I hope you join us Teapotters this week! Lisa/Shoe Girl challenged us to include something farm-related in our birthday cards, and here is my take on the challenge.
I did not do any coloring or stamping here, I just printed the wonderful digi art of Laurie Furnell (she has an Etsy shop) twice, fussy cut the animals and layered it on with craft foam. It was a nightmare cutting the space between the duck's legs, and also the pig's legs - but I remembered that I have a small Swiss army knife with an equally small pair of scissors, and that's what I used. (I also use its small file when the edge cut by the Silhouette is rough.) The sentiment was added before printing using American Classic font.
Aunt Betty is having an-udder birthday, hurray! Thank you to Sabrina/Cook22 and Lisa/ShoeGirl!

How very adorable Gem! This reminds me of Mary Englebreit designs which I love. Oh how I dislike fussy cutting and you did an amazing job. I agree that would have been a nightmare. Betty will be thrilled with this gorgeous slimline card from you. You did totally rock this as Bev said.

I agree with Shirl...this does remind me of Mary Engelbreit. It's so colorful and cheery. Thank goodness for the long design so you could fit all the animals on this. ;)

Great work on the fussy-cutting! I use a scalpel a lot for that sort of thing. I conceded defeat last night when trying to cut the inside of a bow tied with shoelaces, and just cut them off, though. I love the old-fashioned retro look of this, and I am sure Betty will too.

Oh Gem, this card has such a nice Americana feel - I love all the checkerboards, sunflowers, animals and quilt-like pastures. Great layout and colors as well! (Yeah, I’ll bet all that fussy cutting was a challenge, but worth it!)
