We are having a tea party for James this week, and I hope more will join us in cheering up this 10-yr old boy who is battling some serious health issues! Thank you to Gina/gljordan and Shelly/mcschmidty for giving us the opportunity to make James smile.
Jen/Jennifrann challenged us to make some funny creatures or monsters in our cards for James - and since I have this patterned paper with mischievous monsters waiting for the longest time to be made into a card, I went ahead and fussy cut them out. They were arranged so it seemed like they were just peeking out, dancing a jig, hopping about, floating along or hanging upside down - you know, just normal monster behavior, LOL! I hope this card will make James laugh and lift his family's spirits!
Thanks you for the challenge, Jen!

This is precious!! Always loved “Monsters, Inc.” and these characters remind me of that movie. Great variety of panels behind the monsters, too, to really give it added interest. Boy, that was a lot of fussy cutting but worth the effort.

Love your monsters. Will have to go take a look at the challenge now. Just back from vaca and hadn't seen it yet. the geometric panels of the design are really appealing.

Absolutely the perfect paper for this challenge and I love how you have used bits and pieces of it to make a sort of patchwork quilt. Totally awesome interspersed with the die cut words.

So fun and what amazing fussy cutting skills you have. I especially like the one that looks like a one-eyed chicken. I love the subtle BG, too. This looks so pro, like it was printed commercially.
