I'm happy to be hosting our second week of Christmas in July for this week's Color Challenge. I went back to the basics with Basic Black, Basic White and Real Red. Dessert for the whole month is Christmas.
I chose these colors just before I had my first peek at Stampin' Up's 2021 holiday products but was thrilled to find a black and white check ribbon in the Halloween suite to mix in with a few other new things.
The cabin and trees images are considered distinctive stamps which mean that they have gradations of whichever color you choose to ink them. All of my stamping is done with black ink. I added a skinny black die cut tree for a little more emphasis of the black. I layered two die cut cabins and used dimensional for a sturdy popped up scene. I loved the idea of snowflakes over the red/gray/black plaid DSP and thought I just had to use it for this challenge. I'm looking forward to using this for a make and take when my team gets together for some Christmas in July stamping this weekend.
Thanks for looking!
Whether you decide to feature the holidays or go dessert free and make a card for another occasion, we would love to see your work with these colors in the gallery this week.

I love cozy cabin images. Checks in winter always mean flannel to me...and the nice red borders makes it all pop.
I am not playing but thank you for this color combo-so many great cards are coming from it!

What a beautiful, peaceful scene, Chris! I love the extra die-cut tree; it just adds a bold touch to a soft image. And the snowflakes on the red paper--amazing! Oh, and the ribbon! Wonderful!
