Oh, yes, double embossing x2! A challenge after my most favorite technique, thanks Jean. I must admit I veered as well!
My first coat is the beautiful purple~ish Cosmic Shimmer 'Victorian'. I loved how it was random with it's mix of colors. It was that second layer that had me veering...I decided to use the TLC 'mini galaxy' stencil with the Stampendous 'aged marine' ep. It was too small a stencil and suddenly I had a blue blob in the middle of the purple base. What to do...of course, I threw A Colorful Life's 'BoHo' stencil across the top and third embossed with Tim's 'Peeling Paint' ep (green) over the top of the previous layers. This saved my panel...somewhat...however it was very dark. What to do? I veered again. Thought I would use the TH 'Funky Trees' and build a scene of my triple embossed panel. However, I forgot how many fiddly bits in the die cut and now it was midnight:45! How about using my original panel, now a stencil on it's own?
So that's just what I did! Loved the way the Blackberry Bliss cs focuses the eyes on the panel. Found an 'oh, so true Picasso quote', added a few paintbrushes, and have called it an original triple!
Done. Thanks, Jean...I truly had fun. Can't wait to see the gallery...

Blackberry Bliss is my favorite SU color.....thank you, thank you, Susan for using your embossing skills and not giving in to blobs of whatever. I really love what you did with those funky trees. I think that's the set I just bought, haven't tried it yet. You see things with different eyes.

The mix of colours in your multi-layered piece is so beautiful. I hope we get to see the trees some time, but it also makes an amazing piece as a leftover from the die-cutting - and the sentiment is a great one to put with it.

So rich, interesting and full of creativity. I'm glad that you rescued your panel and blob. It ended up being such a great piece. Love the sentiment. TFS Happy day

I love these kinds of quotes that speak such truths of life. We too often fly past our playfulness like a child thinking we need to be more perfected and more refined, when "real" art seems to reflect more of the playfulness of the media we are too busy trying to "control". I love this Susan, and it really gives us so much to think about!!
