Honoring this pair of police officers with this card. The younger one is my former student. The other one is his father. So proud of them!
Here is my inspiration from djlab: Happy Birthday America with Deb Valder by djlab at Splitcoaststampers I used gold medallions instead of the yellow glow, I changed the flag to the thin blue line flag, I used a cut-out photo instead of a silhouette die cut. There is also a gratitude quote on the front of the folded card. Finally, I was inspired use the Z-box fold technique from djlab's gallery. She has a lot of fun folds there.
In case you are concerned about the safety of posting their pictures--This photo was from the local news station online.

So glad you are recognizing them like this and with a great card! The fold and design elements are super cool and I know they will love this.
So few people understand the sacrifice police make - they are true and tough soldiers in the crime and social wars. Love that your student chose this missiion in life and that his father could see him move in his footsteps. Heartwarming. Sweet card and great case. Hugz
