As mentioned in the past, I have eight sister-in-laws...most from my husband's side of the family. I keep track of them by numbers based on their birth date in chronological order. The first sister-in-law birthday of each year is my brother's wife in May, and she is sister-in-law #1. For June, we celebrated sister-in-law #2, and I decided to use pieces from the Made to Bloom kit, making my own design. I've made my card, added a pink cardbase, added the lacy oval, Penny Black sentiment, fussy-cut off part of a wreath for flowers, and sequins.
In planning my card, I found 14 catch-up challenges that fit...see below:
1) AOCC21 - All Occasions Card Challenge/ June - 6/1/21. This challenge is monthly and encourages you to set goals ahead for each month to help you complete and mail your cards timely! June birthday card needed.
2) USEIT2021 - Use It Challenge/ June 2021 - 6/1/21. This is an ongoing/ annual challenge requiring you to use old, long unused items gathering dust AND/OR old/ new items purchased but seemingly forgotten...never opened or used! OLD: Made to Bloom card kit pieces. Retired Pretty-in-pink cardstock.
3) S2S21MAY - Stamp 2 Save (aka Stamp 2 Support One Another)/ May Flowers - 5/3/21. Featuring spring flowers as required.
4) F4A576 - Free 4 All Challenge/ Flowers - 3/5/21. Let's fill the gallery with flowers.
6) MMTPT596 - Teapot Challenge/ Think Pink & Join the Teapotter's Army - 12/24/19. Doing a Challenge Catch-up, using it for a birthday card. My card has lots of pink and sends an uplifting birthday message.
7) CC753 - Color Challenge/ Coral Petals Picked with Pizzazz - Dessert: use foil paper - 8/20/19. I tweaked my colors a bit. I used forest green shades for my leaves instead of light pear color, but still green. My pink is a little deeper shade of pink than Petal Pink, but still pink. NO dessert for me!
IC713 - Inspiration Challenge/ Wool & Honey - 8/3/19. I chose this love knit shawl for its color inspiration: Pink Peppermint Bark Shawl Pattern
9) ABC11F6 - Alphabet Challenge - Round 11/ Friendship - 4/10/19. My card is for a sister-in-law, who is a friend.
10) MSP19 - Misti Monthly Mondays--March 2019/ White Focal, Colorful Background - 3/18/19. White lacy sentiment oval is my focal point and lots of color in the background layers.
11) FS631 - Featured Stamper Challenge/ Sunny Loves Paper (aka Sunny Qi) - 3/10/19. Sunny has a lovely gallery to browse. I chose this beautiful flower for just that, its beauty, and its lovely colors...Happy Mother's Day! I kept the beautiful salmon corals and flower type, but added two layers of patterned dsp for background, a lacy oval die-cut to host sentiment, flower blooms, ribbon and sequins. My card is definitely not a CAS as is Sunny's lovely card.
12) WT711 - Ways to Use It Challenge/ Think Pink - 10/25/18. Card is an encouraging birthday card and full of pink. No dessert...not a get well card.
13) DINSP1018 - Fan Club Monthly Theme--October 2018/ Once Upon a Time - 10/15/18. My card meets fairy tale theme interpretation: Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary, how does your garden grow?... I'm using the Photo Inspiration Challenge...particularly the third photo to the right with great colors for inspiration!
14) SC661 - Sketch Challenge - 9/6/17. Sketch Adjusted: #1 is a full panel and #2 overlays letting #1 show on right side as in sketch. #3 rectangle becomes a lacy oval. #4 is a bower bouquet of flowers rather than a circle.
