This was a fun challenge - thanks, Kia! I did a freeform raspberry, wet on wet, on a piece of watercolor paper and set in the sun to dry. Doodled some long grasses with a silver Posca pen. Die cut the panel, sentiment and dragonfly. Assembled the pieces onto a black base.
Can anyone tell me why my watercolor looks like it has measles, instead of being smooth?

First your creation is beautiful and very elegant. Love your doodling and how you framed it with the black. Your so called measles is the reaction of the water to the paper you used. It gives it texture. Happy to see you play in the challenge. Fav'd

This is so very pretty Priscilla - I love your background colour and the delicate silver doodling works beautifully against your background. Awesome job. I think your paper is Canson paper. is a video you might like to watch, which explains the differences in papers.

Love your raspberry watercolor wash and your fabulous doodled grasses! I see comments about paper--try as I might I just don't like coldpress paper. I swear by the Fabriano hotpress paper.
