This is another Christmas card for my 2021 stash! I do love this Stampin' Up dove stamp and die set that I used, which I'm surprised wasn't carried over into the annual catalog.
In planning this card, I found 15 catch-up challenges that fit...see below:
1) CCC21MAR - Christmas Card Challenge--March 2021/ Greenery! - 3/1/21. My dove carries a green olive branch as a sign of peace.
2) SCSCCMAR21 - Fan Club Monthly Christmas Card Challenge/ March Sketch - 3/1/21. Sketch modified: Square represented by wreath; Circle by dove. Sentiment horizontal band shortened--does not go full width.
3) AOCC - All Occasions Card Challenge/ March 2021. I needed six Christmas cards for March. I made 6 sets of this dove card to fulfill this need.
4) USEIT2021 - Use It Challenge/ March 2021. This is an ongoing/ annual challenge requiring you to use old, long unused items gathering dust AND/OR old/ new items purchased but seemingly forgotten...never opened or used! My OLD/ NEW items: both of these items were purchased in 2019 and finally unpackaged & used: Wreath Building die and Ornate Frames dies.
5) DINSP1120 - Fan Club Monthly Theme--November 2020/ Thanks a Thousand - 11/16/20. Theme interpretation: feature something on your card you are thankful for...the return of prayerful services with my faith community. My card is for the Inspiration Challenge...I'm using the colors as inspiration...I do love that turquoise...interpreted with Tempting Turquoise underlay.
6) ABC14D4 - Alphabet Challenge--Round 14/ Letter D--Dark - 11/4/20. To meet the "Dark" theme, I used a night sky as my background.
7) WT810 - Ways to Use It Challenge/ Got the Blues - 9/17/20. Challenge: A card filled with blues.
F4A552 - Free 4 All Challenge/ Blue Sapphire - 9/17/20. Challenge: use mainly blues on your card.
9) SC813 - Sketch Challenge - 8/5/20. Sketch changes: Circle 3 represented by my wreath; Overlaid Circle 4 represented by my overlaid dove. #5 strip moved off circles into lower negative space and represented by my sentiment.
10) MIX390 - Mix-Ability Challenge/ Do More of What Makes You Happy - 7/17/20. These colors for a Dove of Peace Christmas card make me joyful and happy! Mediums: dye-base ink (sponging), silver embossing powder, white acrylic paint.
11) S2S19SS - Stamp 2 Save (aka Stamp 2 Support One Another)/ Christmas with an Animal - 11/14/19. I've included this lovely dove on my card. It's not exactly an animal...but close!
12) MSP27 - Misti Monthly Mondays--November 2019/Double Backgrounds - 11/11/19. Create a background using two textures/ techniques. My night sky is texturized with an embossing folder and then sprinkle/ splattered with white acrylic paint.
13) FS636 - Featured Stamper Challenge/ NanaDiana (aka Diana) - 4/14/19. Diana's gallery is filled with lovely colored images and patterned paper design, but I chose to CASE this card...not her typical style for its general layout, embossed sentiment and silver and navy coloring, which were colors I already had in mind for a Christmas card: City of David 4. I kept the general layout, but added more blues, more layers and embossing to BG. I overlaid die-cuts for my focal point (silver wreath/ dove) rather a silver embossed stamping. My sentiment is simpler but layered. I elaborated on my night sky rather than the simple navy cardstock, its blues tones, embossed with white paint splatters for my stars.
14) IC696 - Inspiration Challenge/ Tesalate! -4/6/19. The delicate blue and white design inspired my night sky as the perfect backdrop for my dove. Byron Beach Towel!
15) MMTPT492 - Teapot Challenge/ A Wren & Two Turtle Doves - 12/26/17. Challenge: use a bird theme as in the Christmas song: Twelve Days of Christmas & share a Christmas tradition. Since it is our house that we share our Christmas eve family traditions, my girls come over and help put up our tree and all the decorations. They get to choose what, where, and which of my many decorations we use each year. I've decided my card will host a lovely dove.
Ingredients: Stampin' Up products: Cardstock--Night of Navy, Tempting Turquoise (ret.), Silver Foil, Translucent Vellum. Stamps/ Dies--Dove of Hope/ Detailed Dove dies; Wreath Builder dies, Ornate Frames dies (sentiment underlay/ modified). Ink: Shaded Spruce (sponged Shimmer cardstock). Embossing Powder--Silver. Carlene, this is absolutly girgeous. I used that dove die for many cards and projects last Christmas and will bring it out again this year. I love the silver wreath and might use this card for inspiration. It is so besutiful.

Beautiful! Love the dove motif and reminds me I have a very old dove and branch EF and die that hasn't seen light of day in ages. Great Christmas card!
