...for I'm perfect in every way. Oh Lord, it's hard to be humble, 'cause I get better lookin' each day.
This card humbled me. I rarely am unhappy or frustrated with what I've done but today (and yesterday) were the days. The biggest frustration is that the bricks got rather mixed up. I had them all laid out correctly but as I started gluing, things shifted and OMG! Still not sure I got it to rights but good enough. The other thing I did that I wish I hadn't done is did the shadow stamp in too dark an ink. If you feel like this card is out of focus, it isn't. I tried a lighter ink, didn't show up. OMG! If you enlarge it, it isn't quite so bad. So much pattern on this stamp, it made me crazy...OMG! I also acknowledge that I'm not that great with small fiddly things...I fumble around and I struggle with spacing. How I ever played the flute, I have no idea. OMG!
My dp was in my stash and I thought it would look nice on some neutral handmade paper. I love the stamp....that's where it ends. I can't even look at it. Sorry, Sabrina...I let you down. Was it my imagination that the directions and the video weren't quite the same? I'm all over the place with this. I hit a brick wall.

You are so funny! Oops! I do agree the double might be more effective in a lighter ink, but this card has so much pattern, I think you are right about not going down that road on this one!
Every other detail is perfect…but you know…gotta live by your sentiment. Now please pardon me for another case of sentiment envy….just saying

Oh my goodness, Jean, that sentiment is hilarious - and so true! It was definitely a challenge to keep everything straight with the bricks and I totally skipped the shadow stamp idea for this technique. Good for you for persevering and I think your results are lovely.

I admit I didn't do the shadow stamping because it often hurts my eyes, it's not an end result I like the look of. But I think it works well with this because of the slight offset between the bricks. What a really fun stamp, too, kind of makes me think of Alice in Wonderland. Sorry about the trials and tribulations. Umm, you know me and videos, I didn't even look at it to see if it was the same! But it must be similar.

I think it looks great, Jean. I actually thought the dark shadow was a very cool design element for this technique because I found it impossible to perfectly line up the images. It was tough and I know I switched around a couple of my bricks. Anyway, I hope you like this better today. I often find that after a few days....or weeks...or months, when I go back to look at a card, I realize I like it. It's hard when something comes out so different from what you had in your head. But you've paired this with a fun sentiment and I think you've got a winner!

Jean, I thought about that before gluing, and numbered all pieces on the back side, I love the shadow in your beautiful image and love the colors you've used, this has got a pretty vintage look

Your struggle with the bricks wanting to scoot out if place is inspiring to me. Loving that "oops" sentiment ... fits me on certain days for sure. So lovely in these soft serene colors!
