This is also for the Art Journal Journey July Theme of Summer Countryside selected by the talented Alison Bomber.
I have been working on this Journal page a few days and it needed something. The flowers in the middle were the perfect finish and the Afloral site helped me with that. I used some flowers from my stash but also some flowers that were cleared off my parents' graveside. I love to use old and faded cemetary flowers - they are destined for the garbage and I like to give them another chance to shine. I know it is a little strange....
Base page is ink spray smash, then I just used my fingers to stamp all the stamps - no blocks or Misti. Next I made all my ATCs letting the Stamperia paper do all the work. I just added on some ink and other little details. The poem was torn out of an old poetry book.
Thanks for visiting!

This is beautiful, Nancy! Love the antique colors & crackle bg. I don't think it's weird, at all. My mom used to drag us w/ her to cemeteries so she could do headstone rubbings on interesting ones.
