Okay, so you're using your mat as an inkpad, sort of. It certainly gives a lovely soft, watercolour effect with the bonus of being able to use a stamp - sounds great to me. And that fine thread is a lovely finishing detail.

I love this look. I have not tried this by stamping it onto a may and lifting it from there. I usually just spritz water on the stamp itself but I lose some of the details of the stamp. Thanks for this tip, Jayne. I will give it a try!

Love everything about this card. The technique is fab and you know I love side image stamping! Cool way to do the sentiment and the twine bling are great additions. This is peaceful and pretty! Hugz
