This card was made for my daughter and her husband for their 12th wedding anniversary. It was inspired by the a sketch challenge that had the optional theme of "anniversary".
The wedding cake was fussy cut from Stampin' Up! (SU) Designer Series Paper called "Sweet Soiree". I used a green foil cardstock to cut the scalloped background for the cake. I mounted the cake using foam tape for dimension.
The sketch required that we use a striped background, so I chose a silver striped paper from a Recollections foil pack.
The sentiment is stamped using the SU "Itty Bitty Greetings" set with black ink on the same pink paper I used for the card base (it matches the cake color). I used the Spellbinders label die to cut out the pink sentiment piece, then used the same die on silver cardstock to cut a mat. I then cut the silver piece in half and glued it to the back of the pink piece sliding each half to extend just beyond the sides of the pink sentiment piece.
I am giving this a difficulty rating of "2" out of a possible "5". The hardest part was fussy cutting the cake out with paper snips.
