LeAnn is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has given us a pretty combination to work with: Pale Papaya, Magenta Madness and Shaded Spruce. The dessert option is gold accents.
I decided to make a min-slimline card this week, and started by heat embossing one of the images and a greeting from the Garden Greetings stamp set using gold embossing powder (dessert!) on a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock.
I chose three Distress Oxide colors that were the closest to the challenge colors, and blended them onto the panel. I buffed the gold embossing to brighten it up and remove any ink from the surface, then used a die to cut out the stitched rectangle. I mounted this layer onto a sheet of gold foil paper with foam tape, then glued to a white card base.
This combination has so many beautiful possibilities, I can't wait to see what you do with it! See you in the gallery!

Stunning!! When I read the colors each week I always think which Distress Colors fit the palette and love the ones you chose here. The gold accent brings this together beautifully!
