Challenge Your Stash for June: Make a project with a Tiger - or a wild cat of any sort: lion, puma, panther, cheetah--just not a domestic pet.
I chose the lion from The Stamps of Life. I began my ink blending green, using Lawn Fawn ink, on the bottom of Bristol cardstock. I have a cloud die that a friend made and I used it to make blue clouds above the green. The I added grass using the SU set Sending Sunshine. I needed a sun, so the Gina K Set had a sun with matching die. My lion was stamped in Lawn Fawn inks and the belly in Gina K Design ink as it has a lighter color than the body. I wanted orange in the lion mane, so I used the Prismacolor pencil to give it the orange, while not harming the yellow mane. I added texture to the body with colored pencil also. I finished the card with the greeting from the same lion set.
We are in full stormy weather and sunshine is not in the forecast for several days. I used cardboard and a daylight bulb to get better light for taking the photo. This card looks much better in real life, but this light set up, allowed the color to be seen. It was quite washed out before this method. Thanks for reading and looking.

I love all the special touches on this card--the way the sun extends over the corner, the fluffy clouds, and especially the colored pencil work, which really makes the mane look 3-D. Cute greeting, too!
