Fragments: Fucshia

More "fragments that remain". The base was a totally failed attempt at getting the lace edge to work with something else, and it's been waiting to be used ever since. The background is a stencil monoprint left over after I'd used the stencil for something else. It was pretty inky, so rather than waste it, I put a sheet of card over and brayered it to transfer the remaining ink.
I took more time over the fuchsias, which are 3-step stamping - I used the stamp-a-ma-jig for each one and it made a big difference to the accuracy. Some masking, to allow for adding a bloom or bud to each stem. I thought the sentiment from Fabulous Florets was a good fit, and since I didn't have any pink gems in my stash, I coloured some clear ones with a Sharpie.

That a very cool fuchsia stamp and I love the colors you used on them. I especially love that you colored a clear rhinestone and made it look pink! Great tip Love the bg and the lace edging makes a fun stand. Lovely card.

Your fuchsias are so beautifully colored. And kudos on the great save to incorporate that pretty lacy diecut and stencil bg.

Wow ... I adore so many parts of this beauty! The background is just perfect for the fuchsia image ... and could almost tempt me into getting out my gel print supplies. Long live the stamp-a-ma-jig! When my Misti is set up for a lovely 3-step floral, I revert back to my SAMJ.

What a gorgeous lace die! Glad you never threw it away. I don't think I realized you could color clear gems. They look wonderful! Stencilling looks great and sentiment is perfect!

I think fuchia are some of the most beautiful and interesting flowers. I haven't had a pot on a long time. I love the base!!
