I stamped the background using a large wood-mounted stamp from Hero Arts using Versamark ink. I then heat embossed it with clear EP and applied Speckled Egg Destress Oxide ink onto the open spaces. Love that color! It always makes me extremely nervous to cut up a perfectly good background -- but that's what I did.
Using a Misti, I repeatedly stamped the sentiment then heat embossed it using superfine white EP. The final step was to adhere the cut background onto black Cardstock and a side folding A2 card base. Despite cutting up my background, I'm pretty happy with how this turned out!
Enjoy!

Can't think of a better reason to cut up your background than to make a delightful card like this. Love the repeated sentiment. Really adds to the style of this perky card.

This is so pretty. I really like that color too and it looks so lovely here. Agreed, it is nerve-wracking to cut up a beautiful background but your end result is wonderful!
